UN WTO: Tourism with Long-Term Value
The session will examine how sustainable investment in tourism can move beyond attracting capital towards creating long-term value for destinations. It will explore the conditions that make tourism investments commercially viable and development-oriented over time, including infrastructure, human capital, education and skills, regulatory frameworks, access to finance and public-private coordination. Bringing together investors, developers, government and education perspectives, the discussion will consider how integrated investment models, asset transformation and stronger local ecosystems can enhance destination competitiveness, resilience and wider economic impact.
