Started by the World Economic Forum, WAIPA is committed to strengthening the IPAs across the world to increase climate investments, know-how on climate finance and bridge the widening climate finance gap.
Through the Climate FDI Coalition we aim to :
1. Enable knowledge sharing amongst communities of practice, and private sector investments on best practices to facilitate climate FDI.
2. Establish joint supplier development programs to empower SMEs and domestic markets to increase their engagement in Global Value Chains
3. Promote climate-friendly investment projects and help IPAs to navigate the landscape of climate standards.
As a founding member of the Climate FDI coalition, I invite WAIPA member IPAs and other stakeholders to reach out and leverage the opportunity as bestowed to take climate action.
