WAIPA Steering Committee

Regional Directorships (2025–2027)

Further to the elections of the WAIPA Steering Committee for the 2025–2027 term, held during the WAIPA General Assembly at the World Investment Conference (WIC) 2025 in Sharjah, the WAIPA Permanent Secretariat wishes to inform Members that several Regional Directorship positions on the Steering Committee remain vacant.

Accordingly, the WAIPA Permanent Secretariat cordially invites eligible Members to submit candidacies for the following open Regional Directorship positions.

Open Regional Directorships

The following Regional Directorships on the WAIPA Steering Committee are currently open for candidacy:

  • East Asia & South-East Asia

  • Central Asia

  • South America

  • North America

Selection Process

In accordance with Article XIX, paragraph 6 of the WAIPA Statutes, the Steering Committee will review the submitted candidacies and fill the vacant Regional Directorship positions at its next meeting, scheduled for April 2026.

Submission of Candidacies

Members from the above-mentioned regions who are interested in serving as Regional Directors on the WAIPA Steering Committee are invited to submit an official candidacy letter addressed to the WAIPA Permanent Secretariat.

The candidacy letter should:

  • Clearly indicate the Regional Directorship position for which the agency is applying; and

  • Include a brief statement outlining the agency’s motivation and readiness to serve on the Steering Committee.
