WAIPA in collaboration with its Consultative Committee Member, International Labour Organization (ILO), is organizing its annual on “Effective Investment Facilitation and Sustainable Development” at the ITCILO in Turin, Italy.

This years’ course will take place from 27 to 29 May 2026 and is designed for professionals from Investment Promotion Agencies (IPAs) and related public institutions seeking to strengthen their capacity to attract and facilitate sustainable investment.

What topics does this course cover?

This course explores how IPAs can maximize the positive impact of FDI for Sustainable Development, using a range of tools and resources:

• Investment facilitation for development
• Tools for attracting sustainable and quality FDI
• Responsible Business Conduct as an entry point for dialogue with foreign investors, based on the provisions of the ILO MNE Declaration, a key international standard used by multinational enterprises.
• Strategies for fostering linkages between FDI and local business

Successful participants will receive a certificate from the International Training Centre of the ILO.
