We are excited to launch of our exclusive “Global FDI Masterclass Series” designed to elevate the capacities and efficiency of our esteemed member IPAs. As part of our commitment in the field of investment promotion & facilitation, it is important for us as a global community of IPAs, to continuously innovate and adapt to the evolving landscape of investment.

The Masterclass Series is a practical training initiative exclusively for IPAs, comprising of monthly sessions scheduled throughout 2024. This meticulously structured program aims to equip IPAs with essential expertise and skills indispensable for navigating the intricacies of today’s dynamic and fiercely competitive global landscape.

The 2^nd  Session of our Masterclass Series, titled “Blueprint for Success – Formulating the IPA Strategy,” scheduled for 16^th May, 2024 from 14:00 to 15:00 CET (Geneva Time) will delve into the fundamentals of strategic planning, guiding you through the process of formulating a robust IPA strategy aligned with organizational goals and market dynamics. Our distinguished speakers will share insights and best practices to help you navigate the strategic challenges and opportunities in IPA strategy formulation.

We are honored to welcome Mr. Ismail Ersahin, Executive Director & CEO, WAIPA who will inaugurate the masterclass and delve into the significance of an IPA Strategy. We will gain insights from three esteemed IPA practitioners (IDA Ireland, KenInvest, Investment Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye) renowned for their extensive contributions to formulating IPA strategies. These experts will elaborate on the evolutionary journey of their strategies, the systematic methodologies employed, constituent elements, strategic objectives, and pivotal aspects like mid-term evaluations. Additionally, our keynote speaker, Dr. Matthew Stephenson from the World Economic Forum (WEF), will underscore the imperative of integrating climate provisions into an IPA strategy. Dr. Stephenson will also shed light on the “Climate FDI Coalition”, a WEF-WAIPA initiative where 15 IPA have already signed up and there is an invaluable opportunity for participating IPAs to engage with this pivotal initiative.
