Job Title: Intern – Communications and Project

Location: Geneva, Switzerland

Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Intern, with communications and graphic design skills, to join ourinternational team at the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA), the main global body representing agencies charged with attracting investment into their jurisdictions and a leading voice in the realm of foreign direct investment.

Responsibilities:

* Content Creation: Design and produce engaging multimedia content, including press releases, newsletters, social media graphics, videos, reports, and promotional materials that highlight the organization’s impact and initiatives.

* Graphic Design: Create visually appealing designs for marketing materials, social media, web assets, and print collateral while ensuring consistency with brand guidelines.

* Media Relations: Support in maintaining relationships with media outlets and influencers to help secure press coverage for organizational initiatives.

* Digital Marketing & Social Media Management: Manage social media accounts and digital platforms by developing compelling content, monitoring analytics, and optimizing reach and engagement.

* Strategic Communication Planning: Assist in developing and implementing communication strategies aligned with the organization’s objectives to ensure consistent messaging across platforms.

* Internal Communication: Facilitate communication within the organization to ensure teams are informed about goals, activities, and achievements.

* Event Communication and Organization Support: Assist in creating promotional materials, press releases, and event coverage for conferences, campaigns, and stakeholder events, as well as in the organization of events/meetings.

* Brand Management: Help maintain brand consistency across all communications and ensure alignment with organizational identity.

* Design Solutions: Address design challenges with innovative solutions, adapting to feedback and requirements while managing multiple assignments under tight deadlines.

* Stay Updated: Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in communication and design.

* Provide General and Project Support: Provide administrative and general project support, including research and documents drafting.

Qualifications:

* Pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field. Candidates can also be Master level students or recent graduates who have graphic design abilities and are eager to contribute in an intern position.

* Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and digital communication tools.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills in English with an ability to create content for diverse audiences(French language knowledge is a plus).

* Proven experience or portfolio showcasing multimedia content and design projects (samples of presentations, digital banners, video edits can also be used).

* Understanding of social media management, digital marketing, and analytics.

* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

* Creativity and attention to detail with a strong sense of aesthetics.

* Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

* Familiarity with video recording and editing, using tools such as Capcut, iMovie or others, as well as digital banner/presentation preparation.

* This role offers a hands-on opportunity to support strategic communication initiatives while developing creative skills and gaining valuable experience in a dynamic, international environment.
