We would like to inform you that a new Steering Committee will be elected this autumn during the World Investment Conference for the 2019-2021 term. That means that positions for WAIPA Steering Committee 2019-2021 are open for candidacies. The WAIPA Steering Committee consists of the following positions:
– Presidency
– Two Vice-Presidencies
– Regional Directorships for;
- Sub-Saharan Africa
- Middle East and North Africa
- Central Asia
- South Asia
- East Asia and South-East Asia
- Oceania
- European Union
- Eastern Europe
- North America
- Central America and the Caribbean
- South America
These positions are now open for candidacies with conditions and deadlines as instructed in WAIPA Statutes and we invite all our members to raise their candidacies.
According to the Statutes Chapter IV Article XIII/2 candidacies shall be postmarked at least 60 days prior to the General Assembly in which the elections are to take place, namely by 7 August 2019. The effective candidacy for each post must be supported by a Candidacy letter, duly executed by the authorized representative in accordance with the candidate-member’s institutional documents and send to the WAIPA Permanent Secretariat in soft and hard copy to the following addresses:
