Recently, WAIPA had the privilege of hosting a group of aspiring business leaders from the Edwards School of Business, University of Saskatchewan, accompanied by their Professor Cheryl Loadman and International Initiatives Coordinator Alex Werenka. The visit, which took place at our headquarters in Geneva, provided an enriching opportunity for the students to delve into WAIPA’s pivotal role in global investment facilitation.

Led by our Executive Director and CEO, Mr. Ismail Ersahin, the students engaged in dynamic discussions that offered firsthand insights into the current trends and future prospects of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). They gained a deeper understanding of WAIPA’s strategic initiatives aimed at fostering investments worldwide. The visit also highlighted the diverse projects underway at WAIPA, illustrating our commitment to advancing global economic development.

During their time with us, students had the chance to interact with key members of our team. José Henrique Vieira Martins, Senior Expert at WAIPA, shared valuable perspectives on ongoing projects, underscoring the organization’s multifaceted approach to achieving its mission. Additionally, Karim Achy shared his internship experience, offering a glimpse into the dynamic environment and learning opportunities available at WAIPA.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Professor Cheryl Loadman, Alex Werenka, and the enthusiastic students from the Edwards School of Business for their visit. Their curiosity and engagement truly enriched our discussions and reaffirmed the importance of fostering future business leaders who are passionate about global economic growth.
