We would like to inform that member agencies are encouraged to send their candidacies for hosting the 24thWAIPA World Investment Conference (WAIPA WIC19) by 30th September 2018 to the WAIPA Permanent Secretariat.
The WAIPA WIC is a forum where IPAs convene to address current economic and social issues that may affect global investment flows, other strategic and policy considerations as well as latest FDI trends. The Conference includes formal panel presentations, ample networking opportunities and social events for the membership. Past panelists include (i) global leaders (e.g. current or former politicians, knowledgeable governmental and relevant international organization officials); (ii) business leaders (i.e. chief executive officers and other senior executives with global responsibility) and (iii) other influencers (e.g. world-recognized business or economic commentators, members of academia, renowned economists etc.). The topics of the panels are selected based on current events and trends.
Previous locations for the World Investments Conference include Dubai, Milan, Rio, Geneva and Istanbul as well as the upcoming WIC18 in Xiamen, China.
Hosting the conference provides the opportunity to raise awareness of your institution, to connect your colleagues to the world investment promotion community and a chance to get maximum visibility among investment practitioners and build reputation.
