During the 27th World Investment Conference that took place in December 2023 in New Delhi, India, WAIPA together with UNIDO launched a comprehensive publication on investment promotion and facilitation in the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) region.

In this light, we take great pleasure in extending an invitation for this forthcoming webinar, which will give the audience an overview of the state of play, challenges, and opportunities of investment promotion and facilitation in ACP countries. Join us on 21 February 2024, from 2:30 to 4:00 pm CET, as UNIDO and WAIPA presents the results from a first-of-its-kind survey of 61 ACP Investment Promotion Agencies (IPAs) that delves into their challenges, opportunities, and current state-of-play. The webinar will showcase an innovative model explaining the realities and complexities faced by ACP IPAs in their work as well as recommendations and practical tools to enhance IPAs’ effectiveness and align their efforts with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Lastly, it will discuss the nexus of the report’s findings with the recently concluded negotiations of WTO’s Investment Facilitation for Development (IFD) Agreement.

The webinar is aimed at professionals in the field of investment promotion and facilitation, especially practitioners working for Investment Promotion Agencies and Institutions in the ACP region and beyond.
