Climate FDI Coalition meets for the kick-off meeting
Stepping into the fray of climate action, the inauguration of the Climate FDI Coalition heralds a new era of collaboration and innovation!
Earlier this year, the World Economic Forum has forged robust partnerships with WAIPA and a myriad of investment authorities to establish the Climate FDI Coalition, aiming to facilitate knowledge exchange and identify the most effective strategies for promoting climate-friendly Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
The inaugural gathering of the Climate FDI Coalition will convene on April 17, 2024, to discuss operationalisation and activities. WAIPA CEO and Executive Director, Ismail Ersahin, will set the tone with opening remarks.
As proud signatories of the Climate FDI Coalition, WAIPA pledges unwavering support to empower Investment Promotion Agencies worldwide in realizing their climate ambitions. By providing a platform for knowledge exchange and fostering collaboration, we aim to nurture climate-friendly investable projects and drive global climate finance forward. Join us in this groundbreaking initiative as we unite with 15 IPA heads and WAIPA to chart a course towards a greener, more prosperous future.
Through the forging of strategic partnerships and the cultivation of innovative solutions, we aim to create a fertile ground for climate-friendly investments to thrive, propelling us toward a future brimming with prosperity and sustainability.
